The Adams County Historical Society is currently closed for public research and visitation for a major renovation to Schmucker hall, and the Society's relocation to a new headquarters. This process will take several months. Please check back for our reopening announcement.
The Adams County Historical Society has often been referred to affectionately as the "county's attic" - an archive and museum preserving the rich cultural heritage of Adams County, Pennsylvania.
We offer twenty-one hours of public operation utilizing paid and volunteer staff to serve researchers and visitors at its headquarters and museum. You can contact us at:
