We at the Adams County Historical Society (ACHS) are very excited about our second annual ACHS Golf Outing that is scheduled to tee off on Friday, September 25, 2015 at The Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, PA.

The theme of this year’s outing is again student education. Our goal is to raise $20,000 that will support the continued development of a classroom outreach program for local students at all grade levels. This innovative program uses a storytelling format that has been proven to capture and hold the attention of the students. The program is also designed to enrich the understanding of American and World History with particular emphasis on how events affected the people of Adams County. In addition to providing insights into various historical events, the presentations will also attempt to make connections revealing how the past and present are related.

In order to meet our ambitious goal, we are asking for help from businesses and individuals. This help can be in the form of sponsorships, prize or food donations or golfer participation. A brochure detailing our golf event is enclosed. We ask you to consider taking advantage of a great chance for individual or company visibility, while you or others enjoy a relaxing day on a wonderful golf course. We anticipate that this yearly event will become known for its hospitality, good food, good times and great prizes.  By giving to this annual event, you will be supporting the Adams County Historical Society and help us instill and foster a love of history in our local student population.  Your donation will be recognized at our event in several ways, including sponsorship signs or banners, verbal announcements and listing in our commemorative program.
