Adams County Historical Society Annual Dinner & Silent Auction
Please join us at the Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 for the Adams County Historical Society's 14th Annual Dinner & Silent Auction.
Social time with cash bar will be from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., followed by a dinner buttet. The buffet will include: stuffed chicken breast, London broil, salmon in cucumber-dill sauce, chef's choice of potatoes/vegetables, rolls & butter, coffee & iced tea, and cheesecake.
The evening's speaker will be Dr. Brian Jordan. Dr. Jordan is an adjunct professor in the Civil War Era Studies Department at Gettysburg College. His presentation "Embattled Memories: Union Veterans and Their Unending Civil War" is based upon his award winning dissertation at Yale University which explores the troubled reintegration of victorious northern soldiers in the decades after Appomattox. The project is currently under contract with W.W. Norton & Company, and will be released in 2015.
