The Adams County Historical Society’s annual meeting will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 and will begin with a social hour featuring wine and heavy hors d'oeuvres, followed by our annual business meeting, and a program by the ACHS Collections staff. Timothy Smith and Andrew Dalton will offer a special look at some of the Society's rarest items. From US Presidential documents and artifacts to rare items associated with the Battle of Gettysburg and the establishment of Adams County's towns and villages, Tim and Andrew will present a program that showcases real artifacts from our collection of over one million objects. Don't miss this rare chance to view and even touch some of our most cherished history. The program will also showcase some of the society's new digital technology and how we are bringing local history into the 21st century.
The itinerary for the evening is: 4 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. - social hour with wine and hors d’oeuvres 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. - ACHS business meeting 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Program – "Show & Tell: Rare Items from the Collections"

Does the Adams County Historical Society have a museum?
The Society's 3-D object collection is currently inaccessible. The collection is stored off-site while the Society is headquartered at the Wolf House. It is unknown how long it will be before the collections will once again be available for public viewing. However, portions of the Society's collections are on display at the Gettysburg Heritage Center and Gettysburg Seminary Ridge Museum.
