Eisenhower in the Archives:highlights from the Special Collections of Gettysburg College

Please join us on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 7 P.M. in the auditorium of Valentine Hall on the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg for "Eisenhower in the Archives: highlights from the Special Collections of Gettysburg College"

In preparation for We All Liked Ike! an exhibit inspired by the 125th anniversary of Dwight D. Eisenhower’s birth, College Archivist, Amy Lucadamo scoured the holdings of Special Collections and College Archives, for remarkable material that reflected the relationship between Eisenhower and the American people, citizens of Gettysburg, and students of Gettysburg College while he was a general, a president, and a retiree.  She found everything from a tray made of butterflies, to wine bottle stoppers, to thoughtful personal correspondence.  Her talk will highlight documents, artifacts, and stories that she uncovered during her “year of Eisenhower.”

This program is free and open to the public thanks to our  sponsor ACNB Bank.
