Tuesday, February 5, 2019, 7:00 - 8:00 pm
Valentine Hall, United Lutheran Seminary, Gettysburg, PA

Please join us on Tuesday, February 5, beginning at 7:00 PM, for our February program, "Fact from Fiction: Finding the Stories of Adams County's Black Heroes."  The program will be presented by local historian John M. Rudy and will be held in Valentine Hall on the campus of the Gettysburg United Lutheran Seminary.

So many of the tales we hear are like campfire stories - passed from person to person, with small changes and bends along the way. But what happens when you go digging even deeper for the stories of the county's black citizens?

Come investigate the tools and practices you can adopt to find the amazing and powerful local stories of rising, resilience, and resistance. John will share some of the amazing small discoveries that have led to big heroes, and more importantly how you can find some too.

The program is free and open to the public, thanks to support from ACNB Bank. We hope to see you there!
