This class will give an overview of the process of genealogy in all its facets. There will be a discussion on the basic tenets involved in establishing a sound family tree. And each participant will be encouraged to start their own family research. Other discussion points will relate to the best way to get started; the usage of computer software; and websites, like Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org
Three 90-minute classes will be held on consecutive Tuesdays beginning on February 13th. Participants may sign up for the full series or register for each class individually. Full series registrants will also receive an additional bonus: a personalized 1-hr research session with an experienced historical society researcher. The cost is $20 per class or $60 for all classes.
