Does the Adams County Historical Society have a museum?
The Society's 3-D object collection is currently inaccessible. The collection is stored off-site while the Society is headquartered at the Wolf House. It is unknown how long it will be before the collections will once again be available for public viewing.
To use the Society’s research collection must I make an appointment?
No appointment is necessary to research at the Society during regular public hours.
Is there a fee to do research at the Society?
Members of the Society at the $35.00 level or higher may research for free. All students pursing studies may also research for free. Non-members of the society are asked for a $5.00 donation to research per day at the society.
What are the rules and regulations for researching at the Society?

Do you take research requests over the phone or via email?
I cannot travel to the Society to research. Will the Society research for me via mail?
Yes the society will do research for patrons for a fee. Please see the Request Research page for rates and specifics.
How can I donate items to the Society?

How can I request photographs from the Society?
The Society staff can reproduce many photographs from the collection for personal or commercial use. Please see the Visit Us page to answer any questions about photograph reproductions, or use the Photograph Request Form to get a price quote on image reproductions.
Does the Society buy items for the collection?
No. The Adams County Historical Society does not allocate funds to purchase items for the collection.
