Photographer William H. Tipton was 12  1/2 during the Battle of Gettysburg and apprenticed at a local photographic studio. Residing in Gettysburg, more than any other single photographer he recorded thousands of images of the battlefield until his death in 1929. This book contains 100 rare images of the Gettysburg Battlefield held by the Society.
