The Historic Horner Farm
Please join us on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 7 P.M. for “The Historic Horner Farm,” presented by John Horner. The program will be held in the auditorium of the Lutheran Seminary's Valentine Hall.
The Horner Farm is one of the most significant rural properties in the Adams County.
This program will trace the history of the property from the time it was purchased by the Horner Family in 1802, to the present time, now in the ownership of the 5th generation in direct descendancy of the original owners.
Enumerated will be the various recognitions, awards and honors which have been bestowed upon the farm in recent years, including (but not limited to) Manor of Maske (2), Bi-centennial Farm in the State of Pennsylvania, HGAC award for restoration (1985), HGAC Barn Registry (2), National Register of Historic Places, land in Preservation Program of County and State, Bush Horner Branch in US Geodetic Survey, partner in Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Program, and many more.
This program is free and open to the public thanks to the generous sponsorship from ACNB Bank.
