CANCELED: The Eisenhowers of Gettysburg

Join historians Dr. Michael Birkner and Carol Hegeman as they present a Powerpoint program based on
their book, Eisenhower’s Gettysburg Farm. Plan to spend an hour or more to learn about Ike’s humble
beginnings, meeting Mamie, his years in the military and his role as Supreme Allied Commander in
World War II, his purchase of a farm in Gettysburg, and the farm as temporary White House and
retirement home.

The program will be held in Mara Auditorium in Masters Hall on the Gettysburg College campus.
This program is co-sponsored by the Adams County Historical Society, the Dwight D. Eisenhower Society
and the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College.
