The Adams County Historical Society is closed until Spring, 2023 as we transition to our new Museum, Archives, and Education Center facility. Our archival holdings are currently being packed for the move and reorganization into our new home, so we are not able to retrieve items or process research requests at this time. We are sorry for this inconvenience and hope you will check in with us next year when we can resume our normal services.
If you would like to request research from ACHS and are not a member, the standard fee is $30 per hour with a two-hour minimum of $60 per request. This fee must be paid before research begins. To request research, please fill out the online form below, and make your questions as specific as possible. We cannot promise answers to the questions asked, but we can guarantee a thorough examination of our holdings and a report of our findings. Up to 20 copies of pertinent materials will be sent to you by email per request.
If you would like copies of specific materials and our staff determines that it will not require additional research, copies can be made and sent to you digitally for a $25 fee. We will scan and send up to 20 pages per request.
Note: All materials will be delivered via email, or can be picked up at ACHS if the patron wishes. Please allow four weeks for processing any request. If you require 300 dpi high-resolutions scans of our materials, please click here for more information about scanning fees.
