Front Desk Assistant
Front Desk Assistants serve a critical role for ACHS - welcoming and assisting visitors and members of the community. These volunteers will report directly to the Museum Manager and may be stationed at the front desk, inside the gift shop, or at the café.
Research Assistants are responsible for staffing the Glatfelter Research Room. You will become skilled in topics such as genealogical, land, military, and county history research. This is a great opportunity to work with our wonderful volunteer research team and help visitors see the collection and make important discoveries!
Collections Assistants work on a variety of archives-related projects. This opportunity will allow you to become familiar with PastPerfect, the industry standard database for museums and archives. You will have hands-on experience working with original items, and tasks include organizing, re-housing materials, cataloging, and creating finding aids.
The Adams County Historical Society welcomes high school and college students for a wide range of internships. Get in touch with us about your internship requirements, and we will work with you to make your time at ACHS an exciting educational experience!
